Polymer Clay Earrings.
All of these polymer clay earrings are hand made by Fiona Abel-Smith using her original designs.
Encased Pendulum Earrings
This is a new design I have just been experimenting with. The cane work is encased inside a solid silver or gold plated disk, and the bottom part of the earrings hang free to give great movement. In fact these work out as 2 pairs of earrings in one, as the bottom pendulum part can be detached, leaving the smaller stud disc.
As I experiment more, so I will add more photos.
Ikat and OG Cane Earrings.
These earrings are made using one part Ikat cane, and the other the O.G. (Organic Geometric) cane, dissected by silver or gold plated wire. The earrings hang from a coil attached to stud earrings allowing them to swing freely when in the ears. These are great statement pieces as they are approx. 5-6cm long and 3cm wide, but very light in weight. Each set of earrings is unique and cannot be repeated.
Autumn Leaf Earrings.
These earrings are made from molds taken from real autumnal leaves and are coated in mica powders or metal leaf. They are finished with silver or gilt plated earring hooks. Fun to wear, these are great talking pieces, they are very light to wear, but move nicely in place.
These delicate earrings are made by slicing individual petals from hand made polymer clay canes. These are then layered up on polymer clay backs and added to either drop or stud earring findings. These earrings are not just fun to wear, but will get used again and again, as they go with so many things. Be a little careful with them as the individual petals are more fragile than the solid pieces of clay.
