I am very happy to say that my entry of these two sculptures achieved second place in the 3 dimensional category of this prestigious competition voted upon in early 2021.

Polymer Clay UK Designer Awards 2020.

I am extremely happy to announce that I won the Established Artist Category of this juried competition.

This is the piece I won with, Emergence.

After a period of enforced isolation in her suspended cocoon, the creature emerges to find a new norm in her world. In the creature’s absence, nature took the chance to spread her wings and an abundance of colourful growth adorns and sprouts from every surface, including the cocoon itself. Even in the darkest times, there is a light to find.

To see all the entries/winners and competition details go to the PCUK Tools website https://www.pcuktools.com/ or the Polymer Clay UK Facebook page. Polymer Clay UK | Facebook . This is going to be an annual competition

International Polymer Clay Association Awards for 2017

I was extremely happy that both the pieces I entered into 2017's Emerging Artist categories won awards. My Hang Gliding Lizard, titled 'One Small Step....One Giant Leap',  won the Member's Choice for best Non Functional Sculpture and Hanging Art, and my 'Earth Flower Bowl' won both the Judges and the Member's Choice for best Functional Container.

Publications.

Between 2010 and 2012, I wrote several magazine articles, one for a bead design, and the others for Polymer Clay designs. I had great fun writing these, and having to do concise, step by step instructions, stood me in good stead for my later tutorials.

These are some of the articles I had published:

Four in One Necklace, Bead Magazine,
Neon Pendant, Fine Silver Magazine,
Floral Focal Bead, Bead Magazine,
Daisy Beads, Bead & Button Magazine,
Autumn Leaves, Bead Magazine,
Poinsettia Beads, Bead Magazine
Humbug Beads, Bead Magazine,
Linen Stripe Pendant, Bead Magazine.

Poinsettia Beads
As of December 2013, my Poinsettia Bead tutorial is available free, online, from Bead Me Magazine. My Tutorial is in Issue 4, page 10/11. Follow the link to see:

Fiery Waters - sold.
I had my first solo exhibition in Spain in the Summer of 1999. It was very successful and was the first time I realised that people who liked my work would actually also buy it - a wonderful feeling.

I have since exhibited widely in my local area, North Bucks, and South Northants, both with local art Groups / Associations and in Shops and Galleries. I have exhibited once more in Spain and am lucky enough to have my paintings  hanging in homes and venues in many different countries.
