Figures and Animals
In this busy day and age, not many people have the time or inclination to sit for a portrait, so like many other artists I often have to work from photographs.
Where possible I use my own photos, as I can then use my memory and overall impression of the original scene and the sitter's personality as well as the images I took. I have been increasingly drawn to painting crowd scenes from my local area, (often in snow) and have great fun painting these.
