I have always loved the sea,and spent many happy childhood hours on the Kent coast simply staring at the patterns the waves made and trying to memorise the sights and sounds.
As an artist, I find the sea a challenging and invigorating subject to paint. I try to enfuse emotion into the movement of the waves, varying from feelings of calm tranquility on a still day, to stormy aggression when the waves are in full tumult.
