 Pietra Dura Bird Box I have finally finished my latest Pietra Dura (have decided to spell it with the 'a' ending, although Pietre Dure is also correct) box, and kept with the bird theme.

What a beaautiful piece of loveliness!!! I play in polymer, but not with such artistry! Congrats and thanks to polymer daily, or I would not have seen this. Does it open? Thank you for posting your work.

Thank you Elizabeth for your lovely comments, I am still a little stunned by the wonderful comments I have received, but so grateful to PCD and everyone, as it is inspiring me to carry on and do more and more. Yes the box does open, and it is lipped so the lid sits neatly on top of the box, I don't think I can put a photo here, but if you go to the Polymer Clay Art Works, on my site and then go to the Pietra Dura listing there are full photos that show the lid off as well as on. 1/29/2013 04:59:13 pm
Fantastic work. I just discovered your blog via PCD and I felt in love with your polymer clay box but as well with your oil paintings. They are really gorgeous.

Thank you Sarah, As you can see I was amazed and thrilled to have been on PCD, I have always been so inspired by other artists work on there, and to be featured myself was fantastic.
